Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Garage Door Installer/Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of garage doors and openers, ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse construction and mechanical systems, utilizing your technical expertise and hands-on skills to deliver exceptional service. Duties Install new garage doors, openers, and related hardware following technical specifications and building codes Conduct repairs and mechanical adjustments on existing garage doors and automatic openers to ensure optimal operation Utilize hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques for installation and repair tasks Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and schematics to accurately execute projects Perform electrical work related to garage door systems, including wiring and troubleshooting electrical components (within scope of work) Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and local regulations during all installation and repair activities Lift heavy doors or components safely while maintaining proper technique to prevent injury Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs or installations clearly and professionally Qualifications Proven experience in construction, remodeling, or carpentry with a focus on door hanging or installation projects Mechanical knowledge of garage door systems, including springs, cables, rollers, tracks, motors, and electrical wiring Skilled in using hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches), and power tools (drills, saws) Strong understanding of building code compliance related to door installation and electrical work Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude toward clients' needs Physical ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working on ladders or at heights in various environments Knowledge of electrical systems related to garage doors is preferred but not mandatory; relevant electrical experience is a plus Construction site experience demonstrating adaptability in dynamic environments Join our team if you're passionate about delivering high-quality garage door solutions! $20.00 - $30.01 per hour
