Overview Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Hotel Maintenance Technician, where your expertise will ensure our property remains a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of building systems and facilities, contributing directly to the guest experience and operational excellence. Your proactive approach and technical skills will help uphold the highest standards of safety, comfort, and aesthetic appeal throughout our hotel. Duties Perform routine inspections and maintenance of electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and building interior components to ensure optimal operation. Diagnose and repair electrical equipment using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Conduct welding, carpentry, painting, and plumbing repairs to address various facility needs promptly. Maintain HVAC systems by troubleshooting issues, replacing filters, repairing ductwork, and ensuring energy efficiency. Oversee facilities equipment maintenance and repair operations (MRO), ensuring all tools and machinery are in top condition. Supervise or assist with building interior maintenance projects while adhering to safety standards. Lead or support team efforts in supervising maintenance tasks, demonstrating leadership qualities to ensure timely completion of projects. Document all maintenance activities accurately using schematics and maintenance logs; follow safety protocols at all times. Respond swiftly to emergency repair requests from guests or staff to minimize disruptions. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations related to electrical work, plumbing, HVAC systems, and general facilities maintenance. Skills Extensive mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in electrical work, plumbing system maintenance and repair, HVAC system troubleshooting, and building interior upkeep. Proficiency with hand tools, electrical equipment repair, schematics interpretation, and use of diagnostic devices such as ohmmeters. Strong understanding of facilities equipment maintenance procedures including MRO practices. Ability to operate welding equipment safely and effectively; experience with residential painting is a plus. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation troubleshooting. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration. Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience in a maintenance setting; capable of guiding junior staff or contractors. Customer service orientation with a focus on maintaining a positive guest experience through prompt repairs and professional interactions. Familiarity with building interior maintenance standards including carpentry, painting (maintenance painting), plumbing (including plumbing system repairs), and general facilities upkeep.
