Job Overview Your Personal Gardener & Arborist (YPGA) is seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined Shop & Grounds Maintenance Technician to help maintain our shop, company property, vehicle fleet, landscaping equipment, and day-to-day operations. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys fixing things, staying organized, working independently, and keeping equipment and facilities operating properly. A major part of this role will involve preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on company vehicles and landscaping equipment, in addition to maintaining our shop and grounds. Because YPGA is a seasonal landscaping and tree care company, responsibilities will change based on company needs and the time of year. This position may also assist our production crews and participate in snow and ice operations when needed. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on company trucks, trailers, and fleet vehicles. Troubleshoot mechanical issues involving engines, motors, hydraulics, electrical components, batteries, belts, hoses, and other common systems. Maintain and repair landscaping equipment, including mowers, skid loaders, stump grinders, blowers, chainsaws, snow equipment, and small engines. Complete oil changes, fluid checks, lubrication, filter changes, battery replacement, and other preventative maintenance. Inspect vehicles and equipment regularly and identify repairs before they become larger problems. Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records. Keep the shop, tools, parts, supplies, and equipment organized. Perform general shop and property maintenance, including basic repairs, groundskeeping, mowing, trimming,cleanup, and seasonal upkeep. Assist with welding, fabrication, carpentry, electrical, or other maintenance based projects based on experience. Coordinate outside repairs when work cannot be completed in-house. Assist production crews when needed based on seasonal priorities. Participate in snow and ice operations, including equipment preparation, plowing, shoveling, salting, and post-event maintenance. Qualifications Proven mechanical repair and maintenance experience. Experience with automotive, diesel, small-engine, landscaping, agricultural, construction, or heavy equipment repair is preferred. Understanding of engines/motors, hydraulic systems, basic electrical systems, and mechanical troubleshooting. Experience maintaining landscaping or similar equipment is preferred. Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and common diagnostic equipment. Welding and fabrication experience is a plus. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize repairs based on company needs. Willingness to assist with field production and seasonal operations when needed. Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate company vehicles and equipment. Pay:

$24.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
