Job Description
GA Technical Services, Inc. is seeking experienced CCTV / Security Systems Technicians to support a municipal security camera replacement project. Technicians will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, configuring, and commissioning IP-based video surveillance systems at multiple City facilities. Position Type Full-Time Project-Based Overtime Available Travel within project area required Responsibilities Install and replace IP CCTV cameras and related surveillance equipment. Mount cameras, brackets, enclosures, and associated hardware. Install, terminate, label, and test Cat5e/Cat6 network cabling. Install and configure NVRs, DVRs, switches, and network-connected security devices. Troubleshoot existing CCTV infrastructure, power supplies, and communication issues. Perform camera aiming, focusing, and image optimization. Configure IP addresses, camera settings, recording schedules, and user permissions. Test and commission complete CCTV systems. Work from construction drawings, floor plans, and device schedules. Document installations and provide testing reports. Maintain compliance with safety requirements and company procedures. Preferred Experience 3+ years of CCTV, low-voltage, or security systems experience. Experience with Hanwha, Axis, Avigilon, ONSSI, Genetec, Milestone, Verkada, or similar platforms. Experience installing and troubleshooting IP cameras. Understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals. Experience terminating and testing Cat5e/Cat6 cabling. Experience working in municipal, commercial, educational, or government facilities. Ability to operate lifts, ladders, and basic power tools. Highly Desired Qualifications CCTV certification(s). Hanwha Vision/Wisenet experience. Access control experience. Fiber optic installation and testing experience. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification. BICSI Installer certification. Valid driver's license with clean driving record. Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions. Ability to climb ladders and work at heights. Ability to work in electrical and telecommunications rooms. Compensation Competitive pay based on experience. Overtime opportunities.
