$19.00•21.00 per hour (based on experience), plus overtime Position Overview Geeksys Security Solutions is seeking a motivated Service Technician to join our growing team. In this hands-on role, you'll troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and support access control, video surveillance, gate operators, audio/video, and other low-voltage systems at customer sites throughout Central Florida. We're looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong mechanical aptitude, and a desire to learn. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair access control, video surveillance, gate operators, intercom, A/V, and other low-voltage systems. Identify wiring faults, power issues, equipment failures, and basic networking problems. Assist with replacing and installing controllers, card readers, cameras, NVRs, power supplies, electric locks, intercoms, and related equipment. Perform preventative maintenance, system upgrades, and retrofits. Learn to configure system settings, firmware, and software for a variety of manufacturers. Use diagnostic tools, including digital multimeters and network testers, to assist with troubleshooting. Complete accurate service reports and job documentation. Communicate professionally with customers, property managers, and team members. Work safely and efficiently while representing the company in a professional manner. Qualifications Some experience in low-voltage systems, electronic security, electrical, telecommunications, IT, or another technical trade is preferred but not required. Mechanical aptitude and an interest in troubleshooting electrical and electronic systems. Basic experience using a digital multimeter (voltmeter) is preferred. Familiarity with network or cable testers is a plus, but we're willing to train the right candidate. Basic understanding of computers and IP networking. Ability to read wiring diagrams or a willingness to learn. Quick learner who enjoys developing new technical skills. Self-motivated and able to work independently after training. Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work indoors and outdoors. Willingness to travel throughout the Central Florida region, including Orlando, Tampa, Daytona Beach, and surrounding areas.
