Job Description

A specialized commercial fleet and mobile power operation is hiring a Diesel Mechanic in Santa Clarita, CA to maintain heavy trucks, generators, and trailers. Duties & Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on diesel commercial and delivery trucks Diagnose and repair diesel engines, electrical components, and generator systems Build, fabricate, and modify commercial vehicles, generators, trailers, and related equipment Read generator drawings, blueprints, and schematics to support accurate troubleshooting and repairs Use standard and power tools to complete mechanical, electrical, and fabrication work safely and efficiently
Requirements Required:
2+ years of hands-on diesel engine repair experience Working knowledge of generator systems, operation, and maintenance Diagnostic experience with diesel engines, electrical components, and mechanical systems Ability to read and interpret generator drawings, blueprints, and schematics Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, communication, and basic computer skills Self-motivated work style with the ability to complete repairs with limited supervision Clean driving record and ability to operate standard and power tools
Preferred:
3+ years of hands-on experience repairing commercial trucks, generators, trailers, or similar diesel-powered equipment Commercial Driver's License preferred may be obtained after hire Generator technician certification from the Electrical Generating Systems Association EGSA #SJ1
Compensation:
$35.00 - $40.00/hour based on experience and skill level

Day Shift:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Overtime available!
