Knowledge and skills required for the position are: Key Responsibilities Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic issues in diesel engines and vehicle systems Perform routine maintenance and repairs including engine, transmission, brake, suspension and fuel system work Conduct inspections and road tests to ensure vehicle safety and performance Use diagnostic tools, software and technical manuals to identify and resolve issues Accurately document repair orders, parts used and labor hours Communicate effectively with service advisors regarding repair needs and timelines Follow manufacturer guidelines, dealership policies and safety procedures Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment Stay current with technical training, certifications and industry advancements Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Completion of a diesel technology or automotive training program preferred Minimum of 3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic or technician Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems and diagnostics Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics Preferred Qualifications ASE Diesel Certification(s) Manufacturer-specific certifications (e.g.
