Diesel Mechanic John's Welding & Towing, Inc. is a family-owned and operated company located in Tiffin, Ohio . We have proudly been an Associate International Dealer since 1997 and provide service and repair for our own fleet, customer fleets, and a wide variety of heavy equipment. Join Our Team! We are looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. If you enjoy hands-on work, troubleshooting challenging mechanical problems, and working on a variety of trucks and heavy equipment, we want to hear from you! The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of diesel mechanic experience , strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a high standard of quality and safety. Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using diagnostic equipment, schematics, and technical manuals.
Repair and service:
Diesel engines Transmissions Air brake systems Hydraulic systems Suspension systems HVAC systems Shocks and struts Brake systems Electrical systems Work on a variety of equipment, including International trucks, tractor-trailers, excavators, cranes, farm equipment, and other heavy machinery . Perform electrical repairs and soldering as needed. Operate forklifts, excavators, tractor-trailers, and other equipment as necessary to complete repairs. Accurately document repairs, services performed, and parts used. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow all company safety procedures and applicable regulations. Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship. What We're Looking ForRequired Minimum 2 years of diesel mechanic experience. Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicle systems. Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues. Ability to read and understand schematics, service manuals, and technical information. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Ability to safely perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, reaching, standing, kneeling, and working in various positions. Dependable, detail-oriented, and safety-minded. Must provide your own basic mechanic tools. Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and participate in random drug testing as a condition of employment. Preferred CDL Class A license is a plus. Navistar/International repair experience. Experience with cranes, excavators, farm equipment, or other heavy machinery. Electrical troubleshooting and soldering experience. Experience working on tractor-trailers and heavy-duty trucks. Why John's Welding & Towing?
