Job Description

Job Summary Assemble and weld metal parts on production line, using automated welding equipment, requiring only a limited knowledge of welding. Primary Responsibilities Able to read and follow direction. Has basic math skills and able to read tape measure. Welds metal parts together, using automated welding equipment. Fills cavities or corrects malformed welds. Uses Hand Tools to adjust and set-up machinery to assemble product. Examines work piece for defects and measures work piece to ensure conformance with specifications on assembly drawing and departmental tolerances. Set-up and tear down of machines as required for changeovers.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Employee is occasionally required to bend, twist, walk, stand, read, lift and manual dexterity. Employee must frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
