Heavy Diesel Fleet Mechanic | Excavation Interlaken, Inc. - 5.0 Gresham, OR Job Details Full-time $38 - $50 an hour 6 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off 401(k) matching Tools provided Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Interlaken, Inc., a site and utility excavation company, is seeking a motivated Maintenance Mechanic with construction experience. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Must be able to independently perform basic service repairs and preventative maintenance on a wide variety of units including excavators, loaders, attachments, compaction machines, fleet vehicles, dump trucks, and small tools such as jumping jacks, chop saws and generators in field and at our shop. Ability to diagnose, repair and troubleshoot fleet with knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions, electrical systems, fuel & brake lines. Responsible for shop inventory of tools and equipment Maintain a clean and orderly work area. Complete accurate, legible reports required in conjunction with work assignments and account for all time and material used in performing assigned duties. Basic computer skills a plus. Follow all safety rules and regulations and assure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent any and all unsafe actions. Welding and fabrication experience desirable. Capable of working independently, with limited supervision. Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, work in all weather conditions and be familiar with the Portland Metro area.
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ Years Experience, or better High school diploma or GED equivalent required, preference of post-secondary degrees in diesel technology, heavy equipment mechanics, small engine repair. Class A CDL desired, but not a requirement Valid Driver's License & insurable DMV record Ability to sit, stoop, kneel, push, climb, move, reach and work overhead, lift up to 60 lbs Provide complete set of tools to perform related repairs
