Job Description
IN THIS POSITION, YOU WILL GET TO
- Provide sophisticated technical application assistance on Panel Shop Automation equipment and software
- Complete machine installations and planned maintenance at customer sites primarily in North America and globally as needed
- Field support calls from toll free number from both current and potential customers
- Train customers on operation of new products at nVent facilities and customer sites
- Coordinate with Technical Support team for on - time machine installation/training as well as emergency break/fix schedule
- Partner with Sales Manager, TS team, Anoka-based Plant Managers and Germany-based Panel Shop Automation business and technical leaders to provide outstanding customer experience
- Maintain a spare parts inventory in Anoka and facilitate order fulfillment
- May be required to perform additional duties as assigned
YOU HAVE
- Associate's degree or equivalent work experience
- Ideally 5+ years in technical and customer interfacing roles
- Proven knowledge working with industrial channels of distribution including distributors, direct sales and manufacturer's reps
- Demonstrated skill in identifying root causes of issues and developing recommendations for resolution in a professional and timely manner
- Experience with industrial manufacturing as well as exposure to automation, Panel Shops is helpful
- Experience with automation equipment's mechanical and electrical function is helpful
- Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD or similar) is helpful
- Ability to maintain performance metrics
- Strong analytical and computer skills using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize time/workload and delegate work in order to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to carry out responsibilities with a minimum level of supervision
- Ability to work hybrid at our Anoka, MN location and travel 50% or more if needed.
