North Dallas, TX Compensation:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour (based on experience), plus monthly performance bonuses Compensation is determined based on relevant experience, skillset, and overall fit for the role. Candidates with directly related apartment maintenance or make-ready experience may be considered toward the higher end of the pay range. We are seeking a dependable and motivated Make Ready Technician to join one of our apartment communities in the North Dallas area. This position plays a vital role in preparing apartment homes for new residents by ensuring each unit is clean, functional, and move-in ready. What You Will Do Prepare vacant apartment homes for new residents by completing make-ready tasks on schedule Paint apartment interiors, including walls, trim, doors, and ceilings, while maintaining high-quality standards Perform drywall repairs, patching, texturing, caulking, and touch-up work Complete minor plumbing, electrical, appliance, and carpentry repairs as assigned Install and replace fixtures, hardware, blinds, smoke detectors, and other apartment components Complete apartment punch lists thoroughly and efficiently Ensure each apartment is clean, functional, and meets company quality standards before move-in Assist with maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of common areas and the property as needed Report maintenance concerns and safety hazards promptly Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to meet apartment turn deadlines Follow all company safety policies and procedures while delivering exceptional quality What You Bring Previous apartment make-ready, maintenance, construction, handyman, or related experience preferred Experience with painting, drywall repair, basic plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and general carpentry Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Dependable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn Commitment to providing excellent service and taking pride in your work Requirements Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work, including walking the property, climbing stairs, bending, kneeling, lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to successfully complete a background check and drug screening Why Join Gaines Investment Trust?
