6:00am to 2:30 pm, Monday - Friday About the Role The Preparation Technician is responsible for preparing tractors, trailers, and equipment for maintenance, driver orientation, and fleet deployment. The position ensures vehicles are clean, properly equipped, inspected, and operationally ready before entering or leaving the maintenance process. The Prep Technician supports overall shop productivity by performing pre-delivery inspections, equipment verification, detailing, and other preparation activities that enable technicians to focus on repair execution and minimize vehicle downtime. Key Responsibilities Performing inbound inspections of tractors, trailers, and accessorial equipment. Inspecting chains, binders, straps, tarps, and safety equipment. Cleaning and detailing vehicle interiors and exteriors. Preparing trucks for driver orientation and delivery. Verifying vehicle equipment and inventory. Supporting preventive maintenance preparation activities. Recording completed work in FleetRock. Reporting defects or missing equipment. Maintaining a clean and organized work area. Following Company safety procedures and SOPs. Assisting shop personnel with operational support tasks as assigned. Skills and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (technical training in automotive or diesel technology is a plus). Basic mechanical understanding and a willingness to learn and grow in the role. Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality. Effective team player with solid communication skills. Basic computer and tablet proficiency.
