Take pride in repairing equipment correctly the first time Enjoy solving difficult diagnostic problems Work independently and exercise sound technical judgment Demonstrate strong hydraulic, electrical, diesel, and mechanical troubleshooting skills Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers Value accountability, integrity, craftsmanship, and customer service Stay current with evolving equipment and diagnostic technology Understand that customer uptime depends on the quality and efficiency of their work Lead by example and willingly share their knowledge with others Qualifications Minimum of five years of hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, diesel-powered equipment, commercial vehicles, or similar machinery Strong hydraulic, electrical, diesel engine, and mechanical diagnostic skills Demonstrated ability to independently diagnose and repair complex equipment failures Ability to read and interpret service manuals, electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic information Ability to use diagnostic tools, manufacturer software, and technical resources Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing equipment, lifting tools and components, and performing hands-on diagnostic, maintenance, and repair work in shop and field environments We are particularly interested in technicians with eight or more years of relevant experience, an OEM dealership background, or advanced diagnostic expertise. Preferred Experience Vermeer equipment experience OEM dealership service experience Advanced hydraulic diagnostics Electrical and electronic troubleshooting CAN bus and machine-control diagnostics Diesel engine and emissions-system diagnostics Manufacturer certifications or advanced technical training Cummins, CAT, John Deere, Vermeer, Deutz, Perkins, or similar OEM training Experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to developing technicians Compensation $40 - $50.00 per hour, depending on experience Placement within the pay range is determined by relevant experience, technical ability, diagnostic capabilities, certifications, and overall fit for the position. Technicians with advanced qualifications and extensive relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
