Job Description
Trailer Mechanic / Truck Bed Installer Diamond K MT - Trailer Sales & Service Diamond K MT is looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined Trailer Mechanic / Truck Bed Installer to join our team. This position will perform trailer repair and maintenance as well as installation of truck beds, hitches, wiring, and related equipment. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems, and is comfortable working on a wide variety of trailers and trucks. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair trailer mechanical and electrical issues Service and repair trailer brakes, bearings, hubs, axles, suspension, and wiring Install and troubleshoot trailer brake and lighting systems Install flatbeds, service bodies, and other truck beds Install gooseneck and receiver hitches Install trailer plugs, wiring, lighting, and related electrical components Install toolboxes, mud flaps, lighting, and other truck/trailer accessories Perform basic fabrication, drilling, cutting, and fitting as needed Perform trailer inspections and preventative maintenance Properly use shop equipment, jacks, lifts, power tools, and diagnostic equipment Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Complete jobs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship Communicate with the service team regarding repairs, parts needed, and job progress Qualifications Mechanical experience preferred Trailer, automotive, diesel, welding, fabrication, or equipment repair experience is a plus Experience with 12-volt electrical systems is highly desirable Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical problems Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment Basic welding and fabrication skills are a plus Ability to read measurements and follow installation instructions Must be dependable and able to work independently Strong attention to detail Valid driver's license Ability to safely lift and handle parts, tools, and equipment associated with trailer and truck-bed installation What We're Looking For We value reliability, quality workmanship, and a good attitude .
