Falcon Drilling & Blasting, Inc. is seeking a dependable and skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to inspect, service, maintain, and repair our fleet of heavy equipment and support vehicles. The ideal candidate will have experience working with diesel engines, construction equipment, and heavy machinery. Previous mechanical experience is preferred; however, equipment-specific training will be provided. This position works closely with the Maintenance Manager and other mechanics to ensure equipment is maintained safely, efficiently, and in proper working condition. Candidates must be able to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently with minimal supervision. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to workplace safety are essential. Key Responsibilities

• Inspect drill rigs, fleet vehicles, tractor-trailers, and miscellaneous support equipment for proper operation and performance.
• Diagnose mechanical, engine, and equipment-related issues.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and scheduled services.
• Repair equipment and replace or adjust worn, damaged, or faulty components as necessary.
• Troubleshoot diesel engines, construction equipment, and heavy machinery.
• Work collaboratively with the Maintenance Manager and other mechanics to identify and resolve equipment issues.
• Promptly report damaged, unsafe, or faulty equipment.
• Accurately complete required maintenance records, service documentation, and other paperwork.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow established safety procedures and company policies while performing all work.
• Perform additional equipment maintenance and repair duties as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Valid Federal Medical Card, or ability to obtain one as required.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines and construction equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to safely lift, carry, move, and handle heavy objects and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to complete work accurately.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively with other mechanics and members of the maintenance team.
• Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently.
• Previous heavy equipment mechanic experience preferred.

Schedule Full-Time | Monday through Friday Additional hours may be required depending on operational and equipment maintenance needs. Membership with the Operating Engineers Local 139 is available and required. An apprenticeship program through the union is available. Pay This is an hourly job with a starting pay range between $28/per hour and $38/per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
