Overview Join our dynamic team as a Residential HVAC Installer and become a vital part of creating comfortable, efficient living environments for our customers. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing residential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems with precision and care. Your expertise will ensure that each home's HVAC systems operate smoothly, reliably, and safely, providing homeowners with peace of mind and optimal comfort. Responsibilities Install new HVAC systems in residential properties, including air conditioning units, furnaces, boilers, and ventilation equipment, following detailed schematics and design plans. Conduct system diagnostics to troubleshoot issues related to HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration), electrical systems, plumbing connections, and mechanical components. Perform routine maintenance on existing HVAC systems to enhance efficiency and extend lifespan. Repair or replace faulty equipment using hand tools, welding techniques, electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters, and refrigeration knowledge. Interpret technical schematics and building automation systems to ensure accurate installation and repairs aligned with safety standards. Diagnose complex mechanical or electrical problems involving HVAC system repair or component failures; execute repairs promptly to minimize downtime. Communicate clearly with customers about system operation, maintenance needs, and safety procedures to foster trust and satisfaction. Qualifications Proven construction experience with a strong foundation in mechanical systems repair and installation. Service technician experience in HVAC or related fields such as plumbing or appliance repair is highly desirable. Knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, electrical diagnostics, refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration if applicable. Mechanical knowledge of HVAC/R equipment including boilers, air conditioning units, property maintenance systems, and building automation controls. Skilled in the use of hand tools, welding equipment, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools essential for troubleshooting complex systems. Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately; familiarity with electrical systems and HVAC system maintenance protocols. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a driver vehicle safely. Certifications such as EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) refrigerant handling certification are required; additional certifications in electrical diagnostics or mechanical systems are advantageous. $27.79 - $50.00 per hour
