12/31/2026 11:59 PM Eastern Position Summary Delaware County Community College (DCCC), located outside of the Philadelphia Metro area, is looking for a talented and dynamic Adjunct Instructor to join our team of faculty who are committed to student success. Adjunct Instructor who subscribes to the notion of meeting students where they are, DCCC has a place for you! The College is seeking experienced craftsmen and technicians to teach a variety of classes in the HVAC trade.

LOCATIONS

Marple Pennocks Bridge Essential Functions Successful candidates are required to teach both lecture (theory) and lab (practical applications) classes in the following: Electrical Fabrication for HVACR Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Troubleshooting HVACR systems and components Blueprint reading in HVAC Oil and gas burner service Heat pump systems Install HVACR equipment Practical Problems in Mathematics for HVAC technicians Refrigerant certification preparation Experience & Education The ideal candidate will: have a minimum of five (5) years of on-the-job experience as master HVAC service technician Required have prior formal teaching experience at the secondary and/or post-secondary level Preferred have high school diploma, technical/trade school and/or approved apprenticeship certificate Required Associate Degree Preferred have current industry certifications EPA Universal Certification Required Journeyman HVAC & Refrigeration Preferred be able to demonstrate competencies in: installing and repairing heating, ventilation, and cooling units; troubleshooting problems and performs repairs on various mechanical and electrical equipment in heating, cooling and ventilation systems; performing preventative maintenance on a variety of commercial, industrial and residential HVAC systems.
