Service Technician Full-Time | Greater Providence, RI Area | Restivo's Heating & Air Conditioning Restivo's Heating & Air Conditioning is looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our team. This role focuses on diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing residential HVAC systems. We are looking for a technician with strong technical skills who can effectively assess system performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
What You'll Do:
Troubleshoot and repair residential HVAC systems, including air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, and ventilation equipment. Conduct thorough evaluations to detect efficiency issues, safety concerns, and potential upgrade or replacement opportunities. Provide clear and honest assessments to homeowners regarding necessary repairs, upgrades, indoor air quality (IAQ) products, and new system options. Inform customers about system performance, energy efficiency, and available comfort solutions. Perform regular maintenance tasks to maintain optimal system operation and efficiency. Install, replace, and upgrade HVAC components as required. Test electrical circuits and components to ensure proper operation and safety. Accurately document all work performed, including recommendations and outcomes. Adhere to safety, quality, and regulatory standards during all service calls. Work closely with sales and leadership teams to ensure seamless communication and customer satisfaction.
What We're Looking For:
3+ years of HVAC service experience strongly preferred. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with a solid technical foundation. EPA certification required; NATE certification is a plus. Proficiency with HVAC diagnostic tools and technology. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Professional appearance, strong work ethic, and customer-first attitude. Ability to work independently while contributing to a high-performing team.
