In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across various commercial and residential settings. Your expertise will ensure that systems operate efficiently, reliably, and safely, providing comfort and safety for our clients. Duties Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems according to schematics and design specifications Perform routine maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems to ensure optimal performance Troubleshoot and repair HVAC system issues using electrical diagnostics, equipment troubleshooting tools such as ohmmeters, and mechanical knowledge Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to accurately install or repair complex HVAC components Conduct system inspections to identify potential problems related to refrigeration, ammonia refrigeration, or mechanical systems repair Collaborate with customers to explain system features, maintenance procedures, and answer technical questions with excellent customer service skills Ensure compliance with EPA regulations and safety standards during all installation and repair activities Qualifications Proven construction experience with a strong understanding of mechanical systems repair and HVAC system installation Service technician experience in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) preferred Knowledge of HVAC design principles, schematics, electrical systems, plumbing, and building automation systems Hands-on experience with HVAC system repair, maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues including boilers and ammonia refrigeration systems Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently in various environments Mechanical knowledge of HVAC/R equipment including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems, and electrical diagnostics Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; driver preferred for timely job site access EPA certification required for handling refrigerants; additional certifications in electrical diagnostics or ammonia refrigeration are advantageous Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally Join our team to be part of a vibrant environment where your skills make a real difference!
