Position Summary The General Services Coordinator - Maintenance Department is responsible for coordinating and monitoring general facility and maintenance services to ensure a safe, reliable, and efficient working environment. The role supports the Maintenance Department in the coordination of building and facility-related activities, service providers, preventive maintenance activities, utilities, and general services. The position ensures that maintenance requests are properly followed up, service activities are completed on time, and all related documentation is maintained accurately. The General Services Coordinator works closely with Maintenance, Production, EHS, HR, Purchasing, and external service providers to ensure the continuity and effectiveness of site services. Key Responsibilities General Services Coordination Coordinate day-to-day general services and facility maintenance activities. Receive, prioritize, and follow up on maintenance and facility-related requests. Coordinate interventions related to buildings, utilities, infrastructure, and site facilities. Ensure that general services activities are completed according to defined schedules and requirements. Follow up on open actions and ensure timely resolution of issues. Support the Maintenance team in maintaining a safe, clean, and functional workplace. Facility & Building Maintenance Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities for buildings and facilities. Follow up on maintenance of electrical installations, lighting, plumbing, HVAC systems, doors, gates, roofs, and other facility infrastructure. Coordinate maintenance activities related to parking areas, access roads, common areas, and other site infrastructure. Monitor facility conditions and report potential issues requiring corrective action. Support the planning and execution of facility improvement projects. Utilities Coordination Monitor the availability and proper functioning of site utilities, including electricity, water, compressed air, HVAC, and other relevant systems. Coordinate interventions in case of utility failures or disruptions. Follow up on utility consumption and identify potential improvement opportunities. Escalate critical utility issues that may impact production, safety, or business continuity. External Contractors & Service Providers Coordinate and monitor external contractors and service providers working on site. Ensure contractors comply with company safety, security, and access requirements. Coordinate work permits and access requirements when applicable. Monitor the quality, timing, and completion of contracted services. Follow up on service reports, intervention records, and corrective actions. Escalate service provider performance issues to the appropriate stakeholders. Preventive Maintenance & Compliance Support the implementation and follow-up of preventive maintenance plans for facilities and general services. Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, and service interventions. Ensure required inspections and statutory checks are scheduled and completed on time. Follow up on corrective actions resulting from inspections, audits, or safety observations. Support compliance with company procedures and applicable legal and safety requirements. Maintenance Requests & Work Orders Create, assign, and follow up on maintenance requests and work orders in the maintenance management system. Monitor the status of open work orders and ensure timely closure. Maintain accurate documentation related to maintenance interventions. Prepare regular follow-up reports on general services and facility maintenance activities. Spare Parts, Materials & Purchasing Support Coordinate with the Maintenance Spare Parts Storekeeper to ensure the availability of required materials and supplies. Identify material requirements for facility maintenance activities. Coordinate with Purchasing regarding service orders, spare parts, and general maintenance requirements. Follow up on deliveries and ensure materials/services are available when required. Support cost control and effective use of maintenance resources. Safety & Environmental Responsibilities Ensure maintenance and general services activities are performed in accordance with EHS requirements. Ensure external contractors follow applicable safety rules and procedures. Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and facility-related risks. Support workplace inspections and corrective actions. Ensure proper control and storage of maintenance-related materials and chemicals when applicable. Promote a safety-first culture within the maintenance and facilities activities. Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve facility reliability, service quality, and maintenance efficiency. Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives. Support 5S and workplace organization activities. Contribute to energy-saving and cost-reduction initiatives. Propose improvements to general services processes and contractor management. Required Qualifications Technical diploma or bachelor's degree in Maintenance, Electrical Technician, Mechanical Technician , Facility Management, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field . Previous experience in facility maintenance, general services, maintenance coordination, or an industrial environment is preferred. Experience working with external contractors and service providers is an advantage. Basic knowledge of industrial utilities and building maintenance. Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and preferably a
CMMS/ERP
system. Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental requirements. Skills & Competencies Strong organizational and coordination skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Working Conditions Full-time, on-site position within an industrial manufacturing environment. Regular presence in production, maintenance, and facility areas. Frequent interaction with employees, contractors, and service providers. May require occasional support outside normal working hours in case of urgent facility or utility issues.
