Job Description

Maintenance Mechanic Helper You will aid in
Performing:
preventative maintenance and repair work on scrap metal systems including shredders, shears and bailers, scrap handling equipment ( material handlers, forklifts, front end loaders and vehicles) , Troubleshoot and repair equipment, systems and vehicles as necessary. Utilize basic, PLC, welding, hydraulic and general mechanical skill to problem solve production issues. Fabricate specialized equipment and tools as required Maintain buildings and facility including storm water processing systems as needed. Prioritize project completion to reflect the production area needs.
ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS
Perform preventative maintenance work on all plant equipment as scheduled, Recognize proper operation of all plant equipment to include safety shutoffs and devices. Recognize and use lock-out/tag-out devices as required Operate a forklift. Use various hand and power to and efficiently use an AC/DC welder and oxygen/acetylene tool. Complete work orders and other assigned paperwork as directed Safely clean on top of around and under machinery as needed lift 20 pounds. up to 4 feet high as necessary Climb ladders and walk on catwalks as needed. Work schedule full-time, Monday through Friday. Pay starting at $22 per hour DOE depending on experience (Weekends and overtime may be required at times.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Must be available to work schedule as posted, and overtime as necessary. "speak, understand read, and write English language. Proficient in mechanicals 12/24 volt troubleshooting Can work unsupervised with stick, wire and carbon arc. Capable of handling the physical requirements of the job. Willingness to take instruction from supervisors and Piers. 4 yrs verifiable industrial mechanics, Background, Willing to regularly arrive to work on time, wear all PPE required for the for the Job Must have steel toed boots and be able to pass a preemployment drug test (marijuana included) and background check (some offenses are ok).
Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
