Your Role at KIK The Maintenance Manager leads efforts to maximize equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role focuses on driving continuous improvement, managing maintenance programs and budgets, leading cross-functional initiatives, and developing a high-performing team. By minimizing downtime, improving productivity, and ensuring quality and delivery targets are met, this position plays a key role in supporting overall plant performance. Success is measured through safety, cost, reliability, and productivity metrics, as well as the team's ability to sustain long-term improvements. The salary range for this position is $125,000 - $135,000 plus annual incentive bonus. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, education, and internal equity, and is subject to applicable federal, state, and local law. What You'll Do Drive key departmental metrics related to safety, quality, cost, and production to ensure budgeted goals are met or exceeded, including cost reduction and waste targets. Develop and deliver on budget accounts specific to this function, MRO, and others; develop, manage, and implement Capital Expense Projects. Develop and maintain an effective and sustainable PM system that supports productivity efficiencies in the plant. Drive Continuous Improvement via effective implementation of the Maintenance Program (waste/cost reduction, productivity improvement, cycle time reduction), leading initiatives that may involve cross-functional teams from other shifts or departments. Ensure the success of all operational and maintenance metrics including delivery, productivity improvement, equipment and parts inventory, and quality program. Analyze equipment performance to identify continuous improvement opportunities and drive rapid problem solving and root cause analysis from the production floor. Maintain active presence on the production floor, engaging directly with the team during equipment issues that impact or threaten production; coach and provide direction while keeping plant leadership informed with accurate, real-time updates. Communicate daily with the management team regarding safety, quality, scheduling, delivery, workload capacity, and staffing issues. Manage and evaluate individual performance within the department (standard work, attendance, safety, code of conduct), mentoring and developing the team to grow their technical and interpersonal skills. Understand and identify EHS hazards, risks, and controls at the site, resolve ergonomic issues, and drive the creation and improvement of standardized work. What You'll Bring High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred. 5 or more years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing facility utilizing lean manufacturing practices, including 3 or more years of direct people leadership experience responsible for payroll approval, performance management, and corrective action. Thorough understanding of manufacturing plant operations (industry experience must include manufacturing). Blow molding, bottle manufacturing, or plastics processing experience strongly preferred. Experience managing maintenance in a unionized manufacturing environment, including partnering with union leadership on corrective action and contract administration, is preferred. Experience developing, managing, and delivering Capital Expense (CapEx) projects is preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Experience with MaintainX or similar CMMS and integrated/computerized manufacturing systems; JDE preferred. Proficient with Microsoft applications with a strong understanding of Excel. Working knowledge of EPA regulations; Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, or 5S experience preferred. Demonstrated floor presence with a proactive approach to reliability and preventive maintenance; builds sustainable systems and maintains a positive, solutions-focused outlook. Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills; works independently, interacts effectively with all levels of the organization, and manages multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
