Maintenance Director:

Oversee and perform maintenance and repair of facility equipment, systems, and grounds to ensure a safe, functional, and attractive environment Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for all systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding building safety and maintenance Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, ensuring timely resolution Supervise and schedule maintenance staff, providing clear direction and training as needed Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, and equipment inventories Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and inspections Support a positive and welcoming environment for residents, families, and staff through high-quality facility upkeep

What We're Looking For:

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in a maintenance-related field preferred Previous experience in maintenance, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting Knowledge of building systems, mechanical operations, and preventative maintenance practices Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment and systems efficiently and safely Strong organizational and leadership skills, with experience supervising staff preferred Ability to work independently and as part of a team Commitment to maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff A positive attitude and dedication to providing excellent service At Excelcare at Newark, we are passionate about delivering exceptional care, and we know that it starts with a strong, dedicated team.
