Duties and Responsibilities Ensures the safe execution of all maintenance and utility activities, enforcing strict adherence to safety procedures across all plant operations. Promotes a culture of safety by modeling safe work practices and making safety the top priority for all employees and contractors. Manages maintenance budgets effectively, optimizing costs through strategic planning and minimizing asset loss, waste, and downtime. Maximizes equipment availability and safe operation through predictive and preventative maintenance programs, while ensuring timely and effective corrective actions and project execution. Coordinates major maintenance activities and projects with production and engineering teams, including planning for scheduled downtime and resource allocation. Trains maintenance personnel on best practices, including use of the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), troubleshooting techniques, risk and failure analysis, and maintenance data interpretation. Collaboratively sets and evaluates departmental goals with maintenance supervisors and plant leadership to align with overall operational objectives. Leads or initiates special projects aimed at improving equipment reliability, maintenance services, and overall plant performance. Oversees parts inventory to ensure availability for critical repairs while maintaining cost-effective inventory levels. Assists in evaluating equipment needs across utilities, facilities, production, and packaging to support operational efficiency. Partners with cross-functional teams to implement reliability improvements and process enhancements using methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma; leads change initiatives and improvement projects. Manages and develops the maintenance team, including performance evaluations, coaching, and employee development plans. Performs other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager to support facility operations and continuous improvement. Skills Extensive knowledge including but not limited to: CNC machines, Saws, Edge Banders, PLCs, Packsize Interpersonal and communications skills to motivate, empower, train, direct, lead, evaluate and mentor a diverse group of team members to reach their fullest potential Microsoft Office and CMMS experience and proficiency required Experience with cabinetry manufacturing Relevant equipment in the cabinetry manufacturing industry Manufacturing and assembly process flow Ability to effectively plan and manage through change
