!!!! Job Summary Responsible for managing the maintenance and repair of all plant equipment.

Essential Functions:

Ensure that all production equipment is maintained and repaired in a manner which meets company standards and minimizes downtime. Hire, train, develop and manage all maintenance department employees. Assess, develop and prioritize the scope of projects; assigns department personnel accordingly. Solicits and reviews bids and quotes from vendors; selects and manages vendor work. Purchases parts and supplies for maintenance department. Coordinates with production supervisors the scheduling of repair and maintenance work. Maintains the minimum spare parts inventory while ensuring minimum Works closely with Plant Scheduler in developing and scheduling preventative maintenance. May assist in repair and maintenance activities. Develops and manages department budget. Review and approve time sheets. Write and deliver performance reviews and recommend salary changes. Timely advise to address personnel issues with Plant Manager and Human Resources. Process all injury reports and correct any unsafe work conditions as soon as possible. Maintains a clean and organized work area that promotes safety and efficiency. Performs other duties as assigned. Ensure compliance with applicable quality system standards and the unit's food safety and security programs in support of essential manufacturing strategies and practices.
