Job Description
Position Overview This is a hybrid field position combining hands-on repair work, project management support, and sales opportunities. The primary responsibility is completing roofing repairs, service calls, warranty work, and punch-list items that do not require a full roofing crew. When the repair schedule is light, this person will assist the production team with active projects, quality control, material coordination, and jobsite management. Because this position regularly interacts with homeowners and evaluates roofing and exterior systems, the Repair Technician / Assistant Project Manager will also have the opportunity to identify and sell additional roofing and exterior projects and earn sales commissions in addition to regular compensation. Compensation & Growth This position is designed to provide the stability of a full-time field role with additional earning potential.
Compensation may include:
Competitive base hourly or salaried compensation Company vehicle and fuel card Company tools and equipment Sales commissions on qualifying projects sold Performance-based incentives Opportunities for increased responsibility and advancement Required Skills & Qualifications Roofing experience- Working knowledge of residential asphalt shingle roofing systems, installation methods, and common failure points. Roof leak diagnosis
- Ability to identify the likely source of leaks and determine an appropriate repair solution. Hands-on repair ability
- Comfortable independently completing shingle repairs, pipe boot replacements, flashing repairs, sealant work, and other common roofing repairs. General exterior knowledge
- Basic familiarity with gutters, siding, fascia, soffit, ventilation, and other exterior components. Roofing safety
- Comfortable working at heights, using extension ladders, and safely navigating pitched residential roofs. Quality control
- Ability to inspect completed roofing work, identify workmanship issues, and determine what needs to be corrected. Jobsite coordination
- Ability to communicate with roofing crews, homeowners, suppliers, and the production team to keep projects moving. Problem solving
- Able to assess unexpected field conditions and determine practical solutions without requiring constant supervision. Customer communication
- Professional and comfortable explaining roofing issues, repair recommendations, and project updates directly to homeowners. Sales aptitude
- Ability to recognize legitimate opportunities for additional repairs or replacement and confidently discuss options with homeowners. Technology proficiency
- Comfortable using a smartphone/tablet to take photos, document jobs, communicate with the office, and update CRM/project information. Organization & time management
- Able to manage multiple repair appointments, jobsite visits, material pickups, and other responsibilities throughout the day.
Pay:
$75,000.00- $150,000.
