STS Aerospace in Laconia, NH is searching for a candidate for Fab Mechanic - Mold Prep & Trim to join the team. This position is responsible for the set up and operation of abrasive, squaring, deburring, and sizing equipment to prepare assemblies and details to acceptable cosmetic and dimensional requirements. Use hand tools to grind, cut, or sand walls to acceptable limits and specifications.

Job DescriptionEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerforms visual and dimensional checks on materials, assemblies, tube details, components and finished products to validate conformance to blueprints and instructions by customer and to company operating proceduresSets up and operates abrasive, squaring, deburring, and sizing equipment to prepare assemblies and details to acceptable cosmetic and dimensional requirements. Use hand tools to grind, cut, or sand walls to acceptable limits and specifications.
Uses chemicals, such as, but not limited to; chemlock, acetone, and alcohol for the preparation of parts for the next process.
Prepares parts for curing in ovens in preparation for molding operations.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Consistently, regularly and dependably at work and on time.
Other duties may be assigned as neededQualificationsEducation, Certifications, Licenses, & Registrations High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
