Position SummaryA Fuel Technician has a wide variety of skills and will be able to work through difficult problems. This person installs, maintains & repairs fuel dispensers; submersible fuel pumps; service station site controllers; credit card readers; pos systems; tank monitoring equipment; various other types of equipment; various other types of equipment found in service station and convenience gas stations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be customer service oriented.
Ability to meet or exceed the companys attendance and punctuality standards.
Ability to evaluate objectively, fairly, and consistently.
Ability to use common tools.
Ability to understand and follow directions as given.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to talk or hear.
The incumbent frequently is required to use hands, fingers, handle or feel objects, tools and controls.
Constant physical effort required, including standing, sitting, bending, crouching, over 8 -12-hour work shiftThe incumbent may regularly lift and/or move heavy hoses and other equipment regularly.
Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50-75 pounds several times per dayStanding and/or sitting for prolonged periods of time. Occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Work in a safe manner Install troubleshooting and service convenience store networking, including running cable, programming routers, and establishing connectivity to credit networksInstall, calibrate, test fuel dispenser and associated equipmentInstall, program, and service point of sale systems for convenience storesTroubleshoot, repair, and service fuel dispenser and associated equipmentSchedule and perform routine preventative maintenance and annual certification of fuel station equipmentRead, interpret, and follow instructions and operations manualsObserve and comply with all company safety policies and proceduresPerform the job duties in a safe and sensible manner in accordance with all company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulationsWhen necessary, respond to emergency repairs and provide after-hours support neededThe job description isnt intended to reflect all duties that may be required, and there are other duties and responsibilities that may be required, based on business need and overall function of the position.
