Duties Install fiber optic cables and telecommunications network cables in various environments, including residential, commercial, and outdoor settings Perform fiber splicing using specialized tools to ensure seamless data transmission Test installed equipment with voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other testing devices to verify network integrity and performance Use hand tools such as wire strippers, wire crimpers, cable cutters, and power tools to complete installations efficiently Conduct troubleshooting and repair of network issues involving Ethernet, telephony systems, satellite dishes, and Cisco routers Ensure all installations comply with safety standards and industry best practices while maintaining high-quality workmanship Skills Proven experience in network installation, including telecommunications infrastructure setup and fiber splicing Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts such as Ethernet, telephony systems, and Cisco routers Skilled in using mechanical tools like ladder use, hand tools, wire strippers, crimpers, and power tools for outdoor work Experience with electrical work including equipment testing with voltmeters and ohmmeters Ability to perform residential telecommunications installation with excellent customer service skills Familiarity with satellite dish installation and telecommunication cabling techniques Mechanical knowledge combined with field service experience to troubleshoot technical issues effectively This role is perfect for someone passionate about outdoor work, electrical systems, and delivering exceptional service.
