Overview Join our team as a Marine Technician and become a vital part of rigging, maintaining and repairing boats and outboard engines. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for rigging, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of marine systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient vessel operations. Your expertise will help keep our customers engines in top running condition for years of hassle free boating. Duties Perform routine and complex maintenance on marine engines, propulsion systems, electrical systems, and mechanical components using schematics and technical drawings. Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues utilizing diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and other precision measuring instruments. Use hand tools and power tools, and computer diagnostics to assemble or repair components. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to diagnose problems accurately and execute precise repairs or modifications. Support the installation of new systems or equipment through rigging, assembly, and fabrication activities while adhering to safety protocols. Ensure compliance with safety regulations by using personal protective equipment (PPE) during all maintenance activities . Skills Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair statuses clearly and offering technical guidance when needed. Hands-on experience with marine engine repair, electrical diagnostics, and marine propulsion systems maintenance. Familiarity with schematics interpretation, technical drawings, assembly procedures, and fabrication techniques. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools (including power drills), welding equipment, soldering irons, calipers, sheet metal tools, and precision measuring instruments such as micrometers. Knowledge of diesel mechanics and water transportation equipment maintenance is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper PPE protocols. Strong customer service skills coupled with the ability to interpret technical information clearly for team members or clients.
