Job Description

•Qualified Marine Technicians Needed•Jimmy's Marine is a authorized Warranty Center for Mercury, Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Volvo Penta, Mercruiser/Crusader, Kohler and many more!! Located is Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina we are currently seeking experienced and qualified Marine Technicians. If you have experience is one or all of the above engine lines, we would love to hear from YOU!! Our technicians display a high level of skill and technical competency, while providing our Customers with excellent service!! The successful candidate will be able to:
Diagnosis, Maintenance, and Repair:
Test, inspect, investigate, and diagnose mechanical and electrical failures on customer and dealer units Repair units in a manner to minimize come-backs or create customer dissatisfaction Perform routine maintenance on all types of marine vehicles Perform safety inspection and recommend services Prepare new units for delivery to customers Install and test electrical systems, steering gear and accessories Utilize diagnostic equipment to test and repair boat engines, propellers, rigging and navigational equipment Complete Warranty repairs in a timely manner Thorough inspection of boat before, during and after work has been completed
General Duties and Administration:
Report labor hours to Service Manager Compile and submit parts requests to the Parts Advisor Maintain a clean and tidy work area Actively pursue and participate in continuing education activities
Required Experience:
Qualifications Excellent knowledge of marine motor mechanics Two years experience as a Marine Mechanic Manufacturer certification or MMI graduate preferred Able to interpret complex instructions and/or specification Knowledge and practice of shop safety procedures Detail-oriented while maintaining high productivity Ability to work Saturdays Working Conditions Shop environment that may require kneeling, bending, climbing, twisting, and lifting heavy objects. May be required to work more than 40 hours

Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
