Position Overview At MCE, you're not just another Tower Technician, you're part of a team building real infrastructure with opportunities to grow. As a Tower Technician, you will support ground-up projects across telecommunications, civil, and electrical scopes. This role is critical to keeping job sites productive, organized, and moving forward. You will work alongside experienced crews, gain hands-on experience, and contribute directly to building essential infrastructure. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead tower-top installation activities on wireless communication sites.
  • Install antennas, RRUs/RRHs, mounts, coax, hybrid, and fiber cable systems.
  • Perform cable routing, grounding, weatherproofing, and equipment integration.
  • Independently perform sweep testing and Passive Intermodulation (PIM) testing and RET.
  • Troubleshoot installation issues in the field.
  • Complete accurate close-out documentation and photo packages.
  • Ensure all work meets carrier specifications and quality standards.
  • Maintain compliance with all company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
  • Coordinate daily work with the Foreman and Construction Manager.

  • 2-3 years of wireless telecommunications tower experience.
  • Experience leading tower-top work activities.
  • Proficiency performing sweep and PIM testing independently.
  • Strong understanding of wireless site installation standards.
  • Ability to read construction drawings and equipment layouts.
  • Travel required throughout California. Most work is in Southern California; some projects are in Northern California and require overnight or multi-night stays. Per diem and lodging provided on out-of-town work
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
