1st shift
  • 5am start time Monday
  • Friday Must be open to overtime weekends The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and be proficient in various maintenance tasks.
Essential Functions Perform planned and unplanned maintenance on production, packaging, processing equipment, PLC, and facilities (including heat, steam, cooling, electrical, power, air, hydraulics, and general facility). Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues using strong problem-solving skills. Assemble, install, and repair wiring, electrical components, air compressor systems, plumbing, and machinery. Analyze and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals, and work orders. Monitor machines to identify and promptly address malfunctions to minimize downtime. Use hand tools, measuring instruments, and specialized equipment for repairs. Provide technical guidance and training to machine operators. Complete work orders in a timely manner while maintaining high quality standards. Communicate with other departments regarding efficiency concerns or production restrictions. Maintain accurate documentation and assist with parts and supplies inventory reporting. Clean and sanitize equipment and maintain a clean, safe work area. Follow all safety protocols (Lockout-tagout, PPE, confined space safety) and adhere to FDA, USDA, OSHA, SQF, and food safety regulations. Qualifications and Skills 10+ years of experience repairing electrical and mechanical systems. Education or training in electronics and electrical systems. Experience with hydraulic systems and work order systems. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to interact professionally with all levels of management and co-workers. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and pull repetitively for the duration of a shift. Comfort working in varying temperatures (hot and cold) and on wet floors in a refrigerated environment. Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, floor scrubbers, and bailers.
