Job Description
We are looking for an entry-level Operations Technician to join a regulated medical device operation in Burlington, Massachusetts. This long-term contract position is well suited for someone who enjoys precise, hands-on technical work and takes pride in maintaining accuracy, safety, and organization throughout daily tasks. In this role, you will help support battery care, inventory tracking, and production-related activities while following established procedures and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out battery charging, discharge cycles, conditioning, testing, and restoration activities by following approved operating instructions and documented processes.
- Receive incoming batteries, confirm identification details, apply proper labeling, and separate units based on evaluation, service, or storage status.
- Record battery information accurately, including serial or identification data, condition, location, maintenance progress, test outcomes, and disposition history.
- Maintain both physical stock and system-based inventory records to ensure full traceability and reliable control of battery assets.
- Use chargers, cyclers, and related maintenance or test equipment safely and effectively to support daily operational needs.
- Recognize damaged, out-of-specification, or unsafe battery conditions and promptly communicate concerns to the appropriate Operations, Engineering, or Quality team members.
- Handle, move, and store batteries in line with established safety, environmental, and workplace requirements.
- Keep workstations and storage areas orderly, clearly organized, and properly separated according to battery status and workflow needs.
- Share updates on battery availability, inventory variances, equipment concerns, and other operational issues with the supervisor in a timely manner.
- Assist with additional production, inventory, and operational support tasks as needed within the onsite team environment.
