In this role, you will be responsible for operating turret punch presses and related machinery to produce precise metal components according to technical specifications. Your expertise in machine setup, tooling, and safety protocols will ensure efficient production while maintaining high standards of quality. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency in CNC and manual machine operation, and a commitment to safety and precision. Available shift 9am-4:30pm M-F Duties Set up and operate turret punch presses, ensuring proper tooling installation and machine calibration for optimal performance. Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and shop math to accurately produce parts. Utilize CNC programming skills to input and modify machine commands for complex punching operations. Conduct precision measurements using measuring instruments to verify part dimensions and ensure quality standards are met. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and adjustments on machinery to minimize downtime. Adhere strictly to safety standards in production environments, including proper use of hand tools and safety equipment. Collaborate with team members on tooling changes, machine setups, and quality inspections to meet production deadlines. Requirements Proven experience operating turret punch presses or similar metal fabrication machinery. Proficiency with CNC laser cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, stamping presses, and other forming machines. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and mechanical blueprints. Familiarity with CNC programming, setup procedures, and machining tools. Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles for precision measurement. Experience with safety protocols related to machine operation and metal fabrication processes. Ability to perform shop math accurately and utilize measurement instruments for quality control. Basic understanding of electrical discharge machining (EDM), plasma cutting, press brake operation, and sheet metal fabrication is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in quality inspection processes.
