Gear Machinist responsible for setting up and operating manual and CNC gear-cutting equipment, inspecting finished parts, and supporting routine machine maintenance. Job Requirements Ability to read and interpret shop orders. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Experience operating manual machining equipment. Experience using gauges and precision measuring tools. Knowledge of dimensional inspection requirements. Ability to perform routine equipment maintenance. Ability to troubleshoot basic machine issues. Preferred Skills CNC machining experience. Experience setting up CNC gear-cutting machines. Experience operating CNC gear-cutting machines. Experience with gear manufacturing processes. Job Responsibilities Set up and operate manual gear-cutting machines. Set up and operate CNC gear-cutting machines when applicable. Read and follow shop orders, blueprints, and manufacturing specifications. Measure machined components using gauges and precision inspection tools. Verify finished parts meet dimensional and quality requirements. Perform routine machine and equipment maintenance. Identify and troubleshoot basic equipment issues. Make machine adjustments as required to maintain part specifications.
