Shifts Available:
1st Shift 2nd Shift 3rd Shift Job Summary We are seeking experienced CNC Set-Up Operators to support production on CNC mills and lathes. This role is responsible for setting up machines, installing tooling and fixtures, loading programs, and ensuring parts are produced to print and quality standards. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, safety-focused, and capable of working independently across multiple shifts. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes for production runs Install tooling, fixtures, and work holding devices Load programs and set tool offsets and work coordinates Perform first-article inspections using precision measuring tools Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and GD&T Make tool and offset adjustments to maintain tolerances Monitor machine operation and troubleshoot machining issues Inspect parts during production to ensure quality standards are met Complete production and quality documentation as required Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Previous CNC set-up experience on mills and/or lathes required Strong blueprint reading and measurement skills Experience using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection tools Knowledge of CNC controls (Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, Okuma, or similar a plus) Basic understanding of tooling, feeds, speeds, and materials Ability to troubleshoot and resolve setup or machining issues Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently or as part of a team Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
