CNC Set-Up Technician at Volt CNC Set-Up Technician at Volt in Camarillo, California Posted in about 14 hours ago. $25.00 - $30.00 per hour Volt is immediately hiring for a CNC Machine Set-Up Technician in Oxnard, CA. As a CNC Machine Set-Up Technician, you will: Job Description and Day-to-Day Responsibilities Assist the Machine Shop Manager and CNC Programmers in setting up and running production jobs. Set up and operate sophisticated HAAS and Matsuura machining centers, including vertical and horizontal mills with 5-axis and pallet-changing capabilities. Machine castings and hog-outs according to engineering specifications and quality standards. Work closely with the Quality Control department to ensure parts meet customer requirements and specifications. Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T callouts. Perform setup changes, tooling adjustments, and machine troubleshooting to maximize production efficiency. Use precision measuring instruments, including calipers and micrometers, to verify part dimensions and quality. Communicate effectively with engineering, manufacturing, supervisory, and quality personnel regarding technical and production matters. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards. The ability to program CNC machines, design fixtures, and create tooling solutions is highly preferred. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity. Required Skills High school diploma or GED. Minimum three years of CNC setup experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with vertical and horizontal machining centers. Proficiency using precision measuring instruments, including calipers and micrometers. Understanding of GD&T callouts and requirements. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Basic computer knowledge. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement. Preferred Skills & Qualifications Experience programming

HAAS CNC

machines. Experience using CAM software. Experience designing and building machining fixtures. Experience operating CNC lathes. Experience working in an AS9100 manufacturing environment. Bilingual English/Spanish. Work Schedule Monday through Friday-Day Shift Overtime as required

Pay Rate:
