We have an immediate opening for an experienced CNC Programmer - Mastercam with an automation company. Day Shift Key Responsibilities Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam for milling and/or multi-axis machining applications. Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and manufacturing specifications. Develop efficient toolpaths while considering part geometry, tolerances, tooling, workholding, and machine capabilities. Select appropriate cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and machining strategies. Perform program verification and make necessary adjustments to ensure safe and efficient machining. Work closely with CNC machinists and setup personnel to troubleshoot programming and machining issues. Support first-piece and production runs by making program adjustments as needed. Identify opportunities to improve cycle times, tooling life, part quality, and overall machining efficiency. Maintain accurate and organized CNC programs, revisions, tooling information, and related documentation. Troubleshoot machining issues and determine whether adjustments are required to the program, tooling, setup, or machining process. Stay current with Mastercam capabilities, CNC technology, tooling, and machining best practices. Qualifications 5+ years of CNC programming experience, with significant experience using Mastercam. Strong understanding of CNC machining processes and machine shop practices. Experience programming CNC mills; experience with 3-axis machining Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings. Strong understanding of cutting tools, feeds and speeds, workholding, and machining strategies. Experience working with tight tolerances and complex part geometries. Ability to troubleshoot programs and machining processes independently. Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively with machinists, engineers, and production personnel. Experience with CAD software and CNC machine controls is preferred. Preferred Experience 3-axis CNC programming. High-speed machining and complex surface machining. Aerospace, automotive, defense, or other precision manufacturing environments. CNC setup and hands-on machining experience. Fixture design and workholding. Mastercam Solids and/or advanced Mastercam toolpath strategies. Experience with CNC simulation and program verification software.
