BRAND NEW
Lincoln Manufacturing Center in Lincoln, NE. As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing CNC programs for machining centers throughout the manufacturing operation.
What You'll Be Doing:
Create modify, and maintain CNC programs for CNC machining centers using CAM software. Develop CNC programs from CAD models, and manufacturing specifications. Create and maintain setup sheets for machined parts, including work holding, tooling, offsets, program information, and setup instructions. Optimize existing CNC programs to reduce cycle time and improve overall machine efficiency. Evaluate toolpaths, feeds, speeds, cutting strategies, and machining sequences to improve run time while maintaining part quality and process reliability. Manage cutting tools for multiple CNC machines, including tool selection, standardization, inventory requirements, and tool usage. Assist with the development of CNC fixture and workholding methods for new and exisiting parts. Support program prove outs, first part runs, and new part setups at CNC machines. Troubleshoot CNC programs, tooling, workholding, dimensional issues, and machining problems. Review current production processes and identify opportunities to reduce machining time, setup time, tool changes, and unnecesary machine movement. Work with operators to improve CNC setups and ensure programs and setup documentation accurately reflects the production process. Maintain organized CNC program files and ensure proper program revision control. Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, GD&T tolerances, and manufacturing specifications. Performs additional duties as assigned or required by the position.
What We're Looking For:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical education in CNC machining, manufacturing technology, CNC programming, or a related field preferred. Minimum 3 to 5 years of CNC machining or CNC programming experience required.3. Strong proficiency with CAM programming software such as SolidCAM, or similar software. Strong understanding of CNC programming, G code, toolpaths, and machine controls for HAAS. Experience optimizing CNC programs for cycle time, tool life, and process efficiency. Experience with multi axis CNC machining is preferred. Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar CAD software is preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills. Ability to work effectively with CNC operators, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Production.
