Programmer
II INTRO
We are a rapidly growing custom aerospace tooling fabrication shop in Kent, WA seeking a CNC Programmer to support our senior programmer and production team. You will be responsible for programming the majority of jobs (approximately 70-80% of workload). You will work under the direction of a senior programmer but are expected to operate independently on standard work, delivering accurate, efficient programs with minimal rework.
CLASSIFICATION/REPORTS TO
Non-Exempt Reports to Engineering Manager
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Program CNC mills (primarily 3-axis, some 4-axis) using Mastercam Generate complete programs from prints and models for standard and moderately complex parts Select tooling, define setups, and create clear setup documentation Collaborate with machinists to support prove-outs and resolve issues Make program edits and improvements based on shop feedback Maintain organized program files, tooling libraries, and job documentation Follow established programming standards and workflows Escalate complex or high-risk jobs to the senior programmer
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 3-7
years of CNC programming experience Strong proficiency in Mastercam (toolpaths, setup sheets, post output) Solid understanding of:
  • GD&T and blueprint reading
  • Speeds and feeds for common aerospace materials (Alu, Stainless, Inconel, etc.)
  • Workholding and basic fixture concepts Experience supporting machine setup and prove-out Ability to manage multiple jobs and priorities Experience with weldments.
This is a full time job. Regular hours will be 9:30 am-6:00 pm. Starting pay is $40/hour. Excellent benefits.
