Position Overview Paint Specialist is responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing a wide range of display components using automotive-grade techniques. This role requires attention to detail, consistency in finish quality, and the ability to work across various materials including wood, metal, plastics, and composites. Key Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting (sanding, priming, masking, cleaning) Mix and apply paints, clear coats, and specialty finishes using spray equipment Match colors accurately to design specifications or client samples Execute high-gloss, matte, metallic, and custom finishes Inspect completed work for quality, consistency, and defects Maintain paint booth, tools, and safety standards Collaborate with fabrication and design teams to meet deadlines Perform touch-ups and repairs as needed Qualifications 3+ years of experience in (gravity feed) painting or similar finishing role Proficiency with spray guns, paint mixing systems, and finishing techniques Strong understanding of surface preparation and coating applications Ability to work with different substrates (aluminum, acrylics, foam , etc.) Detail-oriented with a strong eye for color and finish quality Ability to read and interpret project specifications or drawings Knowledge of safety procedures and proper handling of materials Preferred Skills Experience in custom fabrication or display production Familiarity with specialty coatings and faux finishing techniques Ability to work in a deadline-driven production environment Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Lift up to 50 lbs as needed Comfortable working in a shop/paint booth environment Compensation & Benefits
