Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Industrial Painter with a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality coatings and paints to industrial structures, equipment, and surfaces, ensuring durability and safety standards are met. Your expertise in various painting techniques, surface preparation, and safety protocols will be essential in maintaining the integrity of our projects. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces through cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality Apply coatings using various methods including brush painting, roller painting, spray painting (airless paint spraying and conventional spraying), and construction spray painting techniques Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and surface specifications to accurately execute painting tasks Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, scaffolding, and other equipment safely to reach high or difficult areas Conduct surface inspections for color consistency using visual color comparison techniques and ensure proper surface preparation for industrial applications Follow strict safety regulations by wearing appropriate respiratory protection and adhering to safety protocol guidelines at all times Perform maintenance tasks such as caulking, drywall repair, plastering, fixture installation, masonry work, and trim carpentry as needed during renovation or remodeling projects Qualifications Proven experience in construction estimating, residential painting, commercial painting, or industrial painting environments Strong knowledge of construction site safety regulations and safety protocol adherence Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless), brushes, rollers, and other application equipment Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction specifications accurately Familiarity with surface preparation techniques such as sanding, cleaning, priming, and coating application processes Experience with structural painting surfaces including steel structures or large industrial equipment Knowledge of color theory for accurate color matching in renovation or remodeling projects Ability to work at heights using ladders or scaffolding safely while maintaining balance and precision Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to surface area and material quantities Previous experience working on construction sites with exposure to masonry, drywall installation/remodeling, fixture installation or handyman tasks is preferred Join us if you're ready to bring your expertise in industrial painting to a vibrant team dedicated to quality craftsmanship!
