Job Description
Overview Anovion is North America's premier developer and manufacturer of synthetic graphite anode products for the lithium-ion battery industry. Our facility in Sanborn, NY is home to our pilot scale manufacturing operations, our world class battery materials and prototype cell assembly laboratory and is home to our Technology team. These combined capabilities are known as the Anovion Center of Excellence (ACE), focused on process development, new product development, and the battery and materials characterization laboratory. The ACE capabilities enable Anovion to develop, test, and evaluate all aspects of anode manufacturing from raw materials through the conversion processes, thermal treatments, and finally the relationship to battery performance characteristics. We seek a Battery Cell Assembly Technician to join our growing Technology team. This is a highly hands-on laboratory role responsible for supporting lithium-ion cell builds and electrochemical testing in our prototyping lab. Working under the direction of the Senior Battery Cell Engineer and alongside our battery and graphite experts, this role executes day-to-day electrode processing and cell assembly tasks (mixing/coating support, electrode preparation, cell assembly, formation setup, and testing) across multiple cell formats. The technician will follow established procedures, maintain accurate documentation, prepare materials and equipment for builds, and help keep the lab running safely and efficiently through housekeeping, inventory support, and routine equipment checks. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented technician who enjoys precision work, learns quickly, and takes pride in building repeatable, high-quality prototype cells and datasets.
