Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Locksmith Technician and Estimator to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will combine hands-on locksmith expertise with estimating skills to deliver exceptional service to our customers. Your energetic approach will help us maintain our reputation for trustworthiness and excellence while ensuring efficient project completion and accurate cost assessments. Responsibilities Perform advanced locksmith services including lock installation, repair, rekeying, and high-security system setup. Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical components of locks and access control systems. Accurately estimate project costs by assessing job requirements, materials, and labor needs. Provide support to lead locksmiths by assisting with preparing accurate job estimates, assisting with service tasks, and ensuring smooth, efficient project completion. Communicate clearly with clients to explain services, options, and estimates in a professional manner. Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and estimates provided for transparency and future reference. Assist in training junior technicians on technical procedures and safety protocols. Ensure all work complies with industry standards and safety regulations. Experience Minimum six years as a locksmith technician with a strong understanding of lock hardware, electronic access control systems, and security devices. Skilled in using electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting lock mechanisms. Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate estimates based on site assessments and client needs. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex lock systems confidently. Strong communication skills to explain technical information clearly to clients. Valid locksmith license or certification preferred; must pass background checks as required by state regulations. $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
