Orchid Orthopedic Solutions seeks a CNC Machinist to produce precision orthopedic implants and instruments in a high-tech, regulated environment. You will set up, operate, and adjust multi-axis CNC machines, interpret blueprints and GD&T, and verify critical dimensions using advanced inspection tools. Partner closely with engineering and quality to troubleshoot issues, optimize machining parameters, and uphold strict medical device and ISO standards. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and adjust CNC mills/lathes to produce orthopedic components to specification Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and GD&T for tight-tolerance features Perform in-process and final inspection using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and CMM as applicable Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues, and make offset/tooling adjustments Maintain documentation and records in compliance with medical device and ISO quality systems Collaborate with engineering and quality to resolve nonconformances and improve processes Support continuous improvement, 5 S, and lean manufacturing initiatives on the shop floor Perform basic machine maintenance, tool changes, and housekeeping to ensure safe operations Required Skills CNC machine setup and operation G-code and CNC controls (Fanuc, Haas or similar) Blueprint reading GD&T interpretation Precision measurement and inspection Fixture and tooling setup Basic CNC programming/editing Knowledge of ISO/medical device quality systems Lean manufacturing/5 S practices Mechanical troubleshooting
