Full-Time We are seeking an experienced CNC Operator for our structural steel fabrication shop in Bellport, NY . This is a full-time position with 40 hours guaranteed each week . The ideal candidate has hands-on experience operating CNC equipment in a structural steel or heavy fabrication environment and can confidently read structural steel shop drawings and fabrication drawings. Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machinery used for structural steel fabrication.
• Process structural steel beams, columns, channels, angles, plates, and other components.
• Read and interpret structural steel shop drawings, fabrication drawings, blueprints, and cut lists.
• Load, enter, and verify CNC programs and job specifications.
• Perform drilling, cutting, punching, coping, notching, sawing, and other required fabrication operations.
• Verify dimensions, hole locations, cuts, copes, and other fabrication details before and after processing.
• Use tape measures, squares, calipers, and other measuring tools to maintain accurate tolerances.
• Inspect finished components for accuracy and quality before they move to fitting and welding.
• Identify machine, tooling, or programming issues and make appropriate adjustments.
• Perform routine machine inspections, cleaning, and basic preventative maintenance.
• Safely operate overhead cranes and material-handling equipment when qualified.
• Coordinate with fitters, welders, material handlers, and shop supervisors to keep production moving.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Qualifications
• Previous CNC experience in structural steel fabrication strongly preferred .
• Experience working with beams, columns, channels, angles, and structural plate.
• Ability to read and understand structural steel shop drawings and blueprints.
• Strong understanding of measurements, tolerances, and fabrication mathematics.
• Experience with CNC beam lines, drill lines, saws, plasma systems, coping machines, or similar equipment.
• Ability to accurately use standard measuring and inspection tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic CNC machine and production issues.
• Overhead crane and/or forklift experience is a plus.
• Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently.

Experience with Peddinghaus, FICEP, Voortman, PythonX, or similar structural steel CNC equipment is a plus. Compensation & Schedule $30.00-$39.00 per hour , depending on experience. 40 HOURS

GUARANTEED PER WEEK.
