Additive Engineering Solutions (AES) is a cutting-edge manufacturing company specializing in high-precision molds and fixtures for aerospace and defense composite parts. We combine engineering expertise, 3D printing, and machining to deliver mission-critical tooling to some of the most innovative names in aerospace. Job Overview We are seeking skilled CNC Machinists eager to join our team in Akron, OH. Candidates must have hands-on experience in machining molds, blueprint reading, quality control and can work with our Programmer/Machinists to increase the throughput of our machining department. The ideal candidates thrives in a high-precision, team-oriented environment and is committed to continuous improvement. AES offers highly competitive pay with shift differential. Duties Machine complex molds and precision components to tight aerospace and defense tolerances Operate and troubleshoot 5-axis CNC mills, primarily using Heidenhain controls Read and interpret technical blueprints and CAD drawings Work independently through instructions and/or production schedules Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to optimize part accuracy and productivity Adhere to all company safety policies and quality standards, including AS9100 practices Qualifications Must have a minimum of five (5) years of CNC machining experience. Must have 5-axis CNC milling experience Experience in aerospace, defense and other regulated manufacturing industries Have an understanding and use of tooling, inserts, speeds/feed and fixtures. Ability to hold tight tolerances Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work Must possess shop math and analysis skills Experience with machining molds and Heidenhain controls Ability to be moderately active for 8 or more hours a day, including standing, kneeling, bending over, and lifting up to 70 pounds with reasonable accommodation.
