A Machinist builds and repairs precisely detailed and sized metal parts used in a variety of tools and appliances. Builds parts following a blueprint or creates original designs.
Review daily production schedules and priorities. Generate or modify CNC programs to support scheduled work. Set up and operate CNC equipment efficiently and safely. Coordinate tooling, materials, fixtures, and setup requirements before production begins. Verify machined components conform to engineering drawings and tolerance requirements. Communicate project status, completion estimates, and production concerns to leadership. Identify scheduling conflicts or production bottlenecks and recommend solutions. Support continuous improvement efforts focused on productivity, throughput, and machine utilization. Perform routine preventative maintenance and basic machine care. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Assist with additional production-related duties as needed.
Qualifications:
3+ years of CNC machining, machine operation, or CNC programming experience. Strong understanding of machining processes, setups, tooling, and quality standards. Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and production documentation. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Interest in learning new technologies and manufacturing methods. Willingness to work additional hours when production demands require.
